Kolibri Drone-Mounted Laser Tag Target

Kolibri turns a compact quadcopter into a moving aerial target. An operator flies the drone, changing direction, speed and altitude, while players detect, track and hit it. It is built for repeated use at training centres, on training grounds and outdoors.

What players practise

• Spotting a moving aerial target and following an unpredictable flight path.
• Hitting it at different distances as speed and altitude change.
• Scenarios with simulated return fire.

Because a person flies it, every session can be matched to the group's level.

Hardware

• 30 g, so the drone should carry about 30–40 g of extra payload, depending on mounting and power.
• Mounting: standard three-point screws; a Velcro strap or a custom mount for a specific drone on request.
• Two hit sensors registering shots at an effective 110–200 m. Actual range depends on optics, weather, visibility, angle and equipment settings.
• Return fire at opponents up to 20 m away (the flight controller must be configured; instructions on request).
• Indicators: an RGB status LED by the camera for the pilot, three LEDs underneath for team colour, set-up mode, received commands and other states, and a sound module.
• USB-C for exporting game stats and updating firmware only. It does not power the target, so keep it on external power while you do this.
• Power: no internal battery. Run it from a 2S drone battery, the flight controller's 5 V output, or a balance-lead adapter (instructions on request).
• Operating temperature: −40 to +35 °C, indoors or out; store dry.

Compatibility

Compact quadcopters with frames from 85 mm and enough payload, mounting and power connections, for example Mobula8, Air75 or similar. The added weight can affect balance, stability, flight time and handling.

Before you order

Tell us the exact drone model so we can confirm compatibility and payload and choose the mount and power set-up. For return fire, include the flight controller model. For a custom mount or power solution, add the frame design, battery type, flight controller and available connection points.

In the box: one Kolibri target and standard mounting hardware. The drone and other laser tag equipment are not included.
