Description

In the Second World War, the Degtyarev DP was the third most common weapon after the PPSh-41 and the Mosin-Nagant. This replica brings it to laser tag, and it is not for the faint-hearted: it weighs over 10 kg.

The machine gunner's job

Covering the assault team. Set a high rate of fire, long range and a full magazine, then use the bipod to hold a line at more than 250 m.

Body and electronics

Gun steel throughout, with a wooden stock.
A 2.2 Ah Li-ion battery for up to 30 hours. The charging inlet is under the receiver, where the magazine attaches; any Li+ charger works, such as the Spider.
Switches on with the takedown pin on the right of the receiver; reloads with the bolt.
The speaker sits in the flat pan magazine for extra volume.

Sights and bipod

A tangent sight on a high base, adjustable to 1,500 m in 100 m steps; the front sight is guarded by protective ears.
A bipod on a metal slide that folds against the barrel and comes off with one bolt for transport.

Stock and trigger

A Madsen-style wooden stock with a pistol-type wrist and comb, 36 cm from trigger to butt pad and 4 cm wide.
Supplied with the original oiling brush; sling swivels on the jacket and stock.
To fire, press and hold the grip safety tongue behind the trigger guard while pulling the trigger.
