Crater Bomb

A redesigned laser tag bomb with anti-cheat, a seven-segment display and an impact-resistant body. Its high-contrast labelling shows what matters at a glance, and even a child can set or defuse it.

Build

• A black plastic body with a rear plate for wall mounting; 500 g.
• A 2.2 Ah Li-ion battery for 36 hours, charged with any Li+ charger; socket and key lock on the side.
• A red button, display, 4 IR LEDs and an IR sensor on the front, under a hard-wearing label.

How it plays

• Arm: turn the key, hold the red button for 3 seconds until "Fire" appears, then shoot the bomb to prove you are alive. The countdown starts.
• Defuse: hold the button for 5 seconds and shoot it to confirm you are alive. If you are killed mid-defuse, the countdown carries on.

The electronics decide everything, so there are no arguments about who was alive.

Set-up

Hold the button while switching on, then use it to set the timer from 1 to 99 minutes; it saves after 10 seconds. Start a new game with any remote or by power-cycling. Timer, defuse and shot confirmation can also be changed in the configurator.
