Laser tag game sets from different electronics generations

Our equipment is built on electronics generations, and each generation is the base for one or more complete systems. This guide compares the three current outdoor generations, then the three systems built for specific jobs: indoor arenas, competitive laser combat and phygital sport. Every figure comes from our comparison of generations and the platform pages.

9-Generation: who is it for?

Rental clubs, sport laser tag and mobile businesses that want proven equipment at the best price. The Smart RGB headband shows where a shot came from, glows in team colours with 15 brightness levels and has anti-cheat rules; statistics arrive at the end of the game, so it plays anywhere without Wi-Fi.

X-Generation: who is it for?

Clubs with a prepared field, Wi-Fi coverage and screens. The X-Core module in every set streams hits to the configurator and external screens while the game runs, and settings change remotely. Every additional device stays compatible, so a club moving up from the 9th generation keeps its game devices.

Alphatag: who is it for?

Professional clubs that want the widest game: each player can interact with up to seven in-game devices instead of two, devices can join while the game runs, and players keep their achievements on a global statistics server.

Can I upgrade instead of buying new?

Yes. Our trade-in programme fits 10th or 11th generation electronics into sets of the 9th, 8th and earlier generations, usually within 7 days, and buying electronics costs several times less than buying new sets. Read are different generations compatible? before mixing equipment.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between the 9th, 10th and 11th generation?

The 9th generation, Smart RGB, has offline statistics, Bluetooth 2.0 and up to three devices per player. The 10th, X-Generation, adds online statistics over Wi-Fi and Windows software. The 11th, Alphatag, has online and offline statistics, up to seven devices, Smart NFC, 120 sounds at 44 kHz and iOS, Android and Huawei apps.

Can I mix laser tag generations in one club?

Keep a club on one generation where you can, or check compatibility before mixing. Some links exist: 9th generation headbands with adjustable firmware work with X-Gen after a firmware update, and the Digital Flag supports the 9th, 8th and earlier generations. Our trade-in programme upgrades older sets to the 10th or 11th generation.

Which generation is best for a mobile laser tag business?

The 9th generation, Smart RGB, suits mobile laser tag: it plays on any ground with no site preparation and delivers statistics at the end of the game, so you do not need Wi-Fi coverage at an event. It is also our best price-to-quality option, which helps when equipment travels and wears faster.

What is the difference between Alphatag Arena and Alphatag Sport?

Alphatag Arena is the wireless indoor system for rental arenas: a PULSAR blaster and DEFENDER vest or headband talking over Wi-Fi, more than 20 built-in scenarios and 15 or more add-on devices. Alphatag Sport is for competitive laser combat: AK-25 Predator Alpha Sport taggers with FOKUS optics and three hit sensors, and analytics for judges and coaches.

What is Phygital Sport?

Phygital sport combines an esports round with a real round on the field, with the same teams. Our kits equip the physical half of Tactical Shooting Biathlon: AK-25 Predator and AR-15 Ranger taggers with FOKUS optics, Sport vests and headbands, digital flags, a digital flame, figures, targets and online statistics. Phygital Center sets come in three versions.

How long do the batteries last in each generation?

Our comparison of generations lists 36 hours for the 9th generation, 12 to 24 hours for the 10th and 24 to 48 hours for the 11th. In Alphatag Arena the PULSAR blaster runs up to 50 hours and the DEFENDER vest up to 36. The Alphatag Sport headband runs more than 48 hours.
