Nuclear cases Perimeter and Enigma

Today, we're going to tell you about an update to the Interactive Game Base (IGB), a device that we're all familiar with. It is without a doubt one of the most popular game devices, and it has been a club favorite for over a decade. The device is so fascinating: it should be delivered in a securely packed container to avoid being mistaken for a terrorist. Any game, from club quick-fix scrimmages to daily programmed games, will benefit from it.

However, as time passes, difficulties and technology evolve, the tried-and-true classics give way to new advances. Laser Tag Armory engineers and developers have meticulously studied and analyzed all of the user experience with this popular device, taking into account the numerous requests of players and clubs, and devised mechanisms for integrating the device into the modern game environment, which has changed dramatically with the introduction of the 10th and 11th generation equipment.

What has changed in the new IGB? Simply said, the shape hasn't changed: it's a conventional black case with 'explosive' contents.

Everything else has been redesigned in some way. We've reimagined the original concept for this popular device in light of how laser tag has evolved over the last decade, incorporating the most cutting-edge technological components to greatly improve ergonomics and increase scenario capabilities.

And we're excited to show you a new game device that follows in the footsteps of IGB - the Perimeter and Enigma nuclear cases.

But first and foremost:

  • The new device comes in two colors: a playful yellow cyberpunk design called 'Enigma,' and a stark red military-style - 'Perimeter.' We are in favour of a variety of styles, and it's up to you to decide which one to choose!
  • The large (let's face it, it's huge compared to the old game set) segment display, which shows the timing, is perfectly visible to players from any distance.
  • The liquid-crystal LCD display of the classic IGB, poorly visible in the dark, has given way to a bright 1.3-inch OLED display to show current game settings and scenario parameters. During the game preparation, it displays a dialogue for selecting a scenario and setting its game parameters, and during the game - it displays information for players on the required actions, the password codes entered, the remaining round time and technical parameters - the battery charge, mains signal, etc.
  • The front panel's X-shaped LED indicator flashes brightly to confirm shots have hit the game set and is visible from any distance.
  • The original push-button component is replaced by a sensitive touch keypad, making it almost 'timeless'.
  • The new device features a full voiceover with a loud speaker. Voice commands and sound effects can be heard up to 80 m away, thanks to an economical but powerful amplifier and 4 W 8-ohm speaker.
  • We've beefed up the security of the nuclear case by making the game harder, and provided for double activation of the device – a code plus flash drive. For that purpose, a dedicated USB port has been added to the device's panel. In the scenario settings, it is possible to select a means of activation - just a password, flash drive only or both combined. In addition, the game set incorporates the classic 'dead hand' protection - an activation confirmation by a live player's shot. This will create a barrier to 'cheaters' and ensure compliance with the rules. Laser Tag Armory is for fair play!
  • The powerful 3,000 mAh battery will allow you to play around the clock without needing to recharge.

And the main feature of this device that distinguishes it from the prototype is the presence of a Wi-Fi adapter, allowing it to be integrated into network scenarios of ALPHATAG and X-Gen generation equipment. The device is now displayed in the control software of the 10th and 11th generation hybrid arena and can be engaged in their game scenarios.

Modern hardware trends demand versatility from the device and. In developing this piece of equipment, Laser Tag Armory programmers have built three game scenarios into it, greatly extending the gaming capabilities.

  • Doomsday Scenario
An IGB and an activation flash drive are held by one of the opposing teams. The task of this team is to deliver the charge to the enemy team's base and activate it. Once the bomb has been activated, it cannot be defused.
The second team's job is to prevent this from happening.
The team that manages to complete its task during the round wins.
  • Dirty Bomb Scenario
There are two teams in the game - the 'terrorists' and the special forces. The nuclear case is in the possession of the 'terrorists'. Their job is to take the charge to the agreed location and detonate it.
The task of the team of special forces is to prevent the enemy from activating the charge or detonating it, protecting the object.
The team that completes its task wins.
  • Secret Code Scenario
The game involves two teams, each with a flash drive to deactivate the device. The instructor activates the explosive device and places it at a location equidistant from both teams. The task of the teams is to get to the installation site and, by inserting the flash drive, find the password and deactivate the game set.
The team that successfully completes the task wins.

The use of multiple activation options combined with different scenarios will make your games unique, and the synergy of stylish design and modern technology creates a powerful WOW effect with players.

The nuclear case is already available in two versions Perimeter and Enigma, on the Laser Tag Armory online shop for 270$. For those who like the classics, the old version of IGB is still on sale.
